Réplique du blouson d'aviateur classique A2 de 1875—Cuir de cheval
Description
A double-breasted aviator jacket drawn up by REAL SIMONS on the short, boxy leather jackets of the 1930s and 40s — inspired by the 1940s aviator leather coat worn by an Allied military psychiatrist in a 2025 historical courtroom drama, and grounded in the archetypal wartime biker silhouette.
Zipped to the top, it wears as a double riders jacket and cuts the wind. Left open, it settles just as easily into everyday clothes. The wide, softly turned lapels look right either way — buttoned to the throat on the highway, or spread open over a tee at the office.
Built from select horsehide, finished two ways: tea-core black that grows warm and brown where it wears, and water-dyed seal brown that drinks in oil and weather and deepens with every season.

Design Philosophy
The 1930s and 40s were the golden age of the short leather jacket: motorcycle patrols, aviators and military personnel wore cropped, boxy coats that hit at the waist — long enough to cover the kidney when riding, short enough not to bunch on the saddle. The parachute-back yoke, half-belt and side straps were not decoration; they let one jacket expand at the shoulder on the bike and cinch flat at the waist when off it.
Our Nuremberg takes its name from the 1940s aviator coat worn by an Allied military psychiatrist in a 2025 courtroom film, and rebuilds it from those original wartime patterns — the small turned collar kept deliberately clean, the double-breasted diagonal zip that can be ridden closed or worn open over a shirt. It is a jacket that works as hard in the city as it does on the back of a motorcycle.
Upgrades & Adjustments
- Lining upgrade: moved from the standard lining to a heavier TC cotton-blend twill for durability — a smoother, more abrasion-resistant interior that stands up to daily wear and repeated layering over shirts and knits.
- Two-tone lapel finish: shoulder-yoke edges carry a lighter burnished finish so the wide lapels catch light naturally when worn open.
- (No other revisions; pattern and hardware are period-faithful to the original wartime reference.)
Leather use and maintenance knowledge
Leather products are consumables.
- Proper maintenance can extend their service life. When wearing it daily, you should pay attention to protecting the leather surface to prevent scratches by hard or sharp objects, and avoid contact with oil, acidic and alkaline substancesLeather products are strictly prohibited from washing, tumbling and drying, and long-term exposure to the sun.
- If they are wet by rain or moisture, you can use a soft dry cloth to gently wipe off the surface water stains and dry them in a cool and ventilated place. Do not wear before it is completely dryLeather should not be rubbed with water or gasoline, as water will make the leather hard and gasoline will volatilize the oil in the leather and cause it to crackNatural fur/fur collar will have slight curls after long-term wearing or washing.
- Detergents may cause hair loss at some edges, so dry cleaning is recommendedColorless maintenance oil should be applied before changing seasons and storage to prevent leather aging and cracking.
- Before application, a small area should be tested on a hidden part to prevent discoloration caused by chemical reactions between maintenance oil and leatherStore in a hanging position and do not fold or press heavily to prevent wrinkles on leather/furMothballs for mildew and insects should not come into direct contact with leather
