A single riders jacket bringing golden-age vintage style together with modern quality.
The waist belt is left off for a clean look, while an asymmetric front zip, lapel collar, and three-dimensional pockets carry proper riders detail.
Made in a substantial, weighty heavyweight horsehide (1.4–2.0 mm), finished with an oil-wax lustre that deepens the more it is worn. The black version is a tea-core hide carrying brown through the core; the white version is a white-dyed leather finished with a white pigment layer that guards against colour loss, dirt, and oil staining.
Built on the pattern of the late-1980s US classic, with wide shoulders and chest, generous armholes, a short body, and a tapered hem — refined with Japanese-level craft in every detail.

Padova Tea-Core Horsehide (Black)
The black shell is the "Padova" tea-core horsehide, a Real Simons original developed in 2023:
- Selected Polish leather blanks, AA-grade surface standard
- Tighter, cleaner grain with minimal loose grain
- Extra oil back-fill and casein treatment in retanning for a wetter hand, softer drape, and better surface lustre
- Oil-wax finish — an aniline-type character in which brown shows through the black
- Shading and lustre build with scuffing and wear
White Horsehide With Pigment Finish
- White-dyed leather finished with a white pigment layer
- Coating prevents colour loss and guards against dirt and oil staining
- Oil-wax lustre deepens with wear — the marks and ageing are part of the appeal

Design Philosophy
The riders jacket carries the free, unbound spirit of the American golden age — the era that turned the motorcycle jacket into an icon. For this jacket, Real Simons looked to the late-1980s to early-1990s Schott 618, a period piece that distilled the Perfecto formula: asymmetric zip, lapel collar, pockets built to carry, and a silhouette cut for the road. The belt was left off for a cleaner, more modern line.
The pattern follows a vintage US-market Schott of the 1980s: wide shoulders and chest, large armholes, a short body, and a tapered hem — a distinctly American fit, distinct from the slim straight-cut Japanese interpretation. Each detail was then refined with Japanese-level precision: custom 10-star SIMONS snaps on YKK SK75 bases, an IDEAL size-10 main zipper with a large pull for gloved riders, chain-style pocket pulls finished with horsehide tabs, and a custom heavyweight twill SIMONS jacquard lining.
The leather is the story's core. The Padova tea-core horsehide — a Real Simons original developed in 2023 — is cut from selected Polish blanks to an AA-grade surface standard, with extra oil back-fill and casein treatment for a wetter hand and cleaner grain. It is a hide built on a simple belief: real leather is about the "quality of the thing" — the texture, the hand, the way it ages into something that belongs to you. That is what we set out to make, and what we believe players at home and abroad recognise.

Leather use and maintenance knowledge
Leather products are consumables.
- Proper maintenance can extend their service life.When wearing it daily, you should pay attention to protecting the leather surface to prevent scratches by hard or sharp objects, and avoid contact with oil, acidic and alkaline substancesLeather products are strictly prohibited from washing, tumbling and drying, and long-term exposure to the sun.
- If they are wet by rain or moisture, you can use a soft dry cloth to gently wipe off the surface water stains and dry them in a cool and ventilated place. Do not wear before it is completely dryLeather should not be rubbed with water or gasoline, as water will make the leather hard and gasoline will volatilize the oil in the leather and cause it to crackNatural fur/fur collar will have slight curls after long-term wearing or washing.
